(Central) Auditory Processing

Listening is invisible and sound perception can vary between people so unless evaluated abnormal auditory processing may be overlooked.  
However, depending on the test results, there are a variety of treatment options available. Many that may be completed at home, with a speech pathologist, occupational therapist or with an academic or workplace accommodations.  Sometimes, just the understanding of auditory processing and/or sound sensitivity provides clarity to find creative compensation strategies. 

Appointment Information

Appointments are scheduled by appointment only between 7:30am - 6pm, Tuesday – Friday and some Saturdays. Auditory processing evaluation appointments are scheduled for 2 hours. Audiological (hearing test) appointments are scheduled for 60 minutes. Generally, testing is completed in one appointment, if needed, an additional appointment to obtain complete and accurate results will be scheduled.

A referral is not needed for private pay, with payment due at the time of service (credit card, HSA, etc). Complimentary insurance will be filed - having a referral may help with your reimbursement. Cost effective maximum out of pocket will be discussed prior to scheduling an appointment. A referral is mandatory for Medicaid insurances.
